What tape drive (vendor/model)? Internal/External?
Have you gone to the vendor site to verify you have lateast driver and
firmware?
Try powering down your server and rechecking cable connection to tape drive,
then rebooting.
Are you able to reformat/relabel a tape?

HI,
I'm new to SBS and servers.
My backup scheduled (through server management, to do list) to run on
daily
basis. It worked fine until few days ago and backup log files does not
report
any errors, I copied the content for your refrence below. Besides, I also
used the NTBackup but I get the following error message:
"The backup device is not responding. Please check to make sure that the
device is on the cables are connected." Note that the light indicator of
Tape
is green and all seems fine.
I think I am missing something. Thanks for your great help.
