Joe,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Using the message tracking feature I can see that many messages are
being sent from me to me! Not sure whey this is happening. Its about
10-15 mails per day at all times of the day and night. What is even
more odd is that these "messages" do not seem to end up in my in box.
I would like to turn SMTP logging on but I cannot seem to find the
spot where it is managed.
BTW... I upgraded to Exchange SP2 on 10/26 and began using IMF either
that day or soon thereafter. The messages in question seem to have
started on 10/28.
Any ideas on what might be going on here?
Thanks again,
James Newman

Hey all,
While reviewing my server SBS 2003 server usage report I noticed 139
sent messages from my account to external recipients. This is far and
above anything I would have sent legitimately. Is there a way to
trace how when and where these messages are being sent?
Message tracking is in Server Management, Advanced, First..., Tools.
If logging is set to on in SMTP (and it's probably best left on) then
in %windir%\system32\Log Files\SMTPSVC there should be day-by-day
records of the SMTP transactions with your smarthost or destinations.
