Restore healthy PRIV1.EDB file

Hi,
My question is quite simple and I know a lot of this is already asked,
but I can't find the easy solution to my problem. Spend like 10 hours
already on it and I'm quite desperate right now.
Being quite new to SBS 2003 I think I did something more or less wrong.
On a server with a domain of "www.<mydomain>" I copied the files
PRIV1.EDB and PRIV1.STM (I didn't have PUB1.EDB and PUB1.STM files,
although having public folders, I think this is possible). I
reinstalled the whole server (for other reasons, but being new to SBS
2003, it seemed the right option for me). I figured out that having the
"www" in the domain wasn't right for me, so I installed Exchange with a
domain of "mail.<mydomain>". I think that is what is causing problems:
I'm trying to restore the PRIV1.EDB and PRIV1.STM files, but I can't.
I did try the ESEUTIL /P option (which actually works), I tried ESEUTIL
/D (which also worked). But I can't mount the OLD priv1.EDB files...
My mailfile is quite small (+/- 65 MB) but the public folders contained
a couple of important items. I thought everything was saved offline in
my Outlook client, but it turned out the public folders weren't. The
only thing I want, is restoring my PUBLIC FOLDERS from the EDB-file.
Is there an easy way (and I mean really easy, because I sort of tried a
lot of options already)? I don't have the option of setting up an test
server. I'm willing to pay a (small) amount (because the mail file is
very small) if necessary.
Anybody tips, tricks? Thanks in advance.
Walter
