Hi John,
Thanks for posting here.
From your post, my understanding on this issue is: when login OWA, someusers (userA) need input username and password, and some users (userB)
don't need. If I am off base, please feel free to let me know.
Based on the information I have now, Please help me collect the following
information in order to narrow down this issue:
1. Please let me know whether UserB logon to UserA's workstation and access
OWA, does UserB need type username and password?
2. Please create a new user and logon to this "problematic workstation" is
there any issue?
3. Please capture the screenshot of the logon OWA, and send it to me at:
v-stezhu@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
4. I suggest you go through the steps for enabling FBA to make sure that
nothing is missing.
To enable forms-based authentication, refer to the following steps:
a. Start Exchange System Manager.
b. If administrative groups are enabled, expand Administrative Groups.
c. Expand Servers, and then expand your front-end server.
d. Expand Protocols, expand HTTP, right-click Exchange Virtual Server, and
then click Properties.
e. Click the Settings tab, and then click to select the Enable Forms Based
Authentication check box.
f. In the Compression list, click the level of compression that you want.
g. Click OK.
h. If you receive a message that states that the IIS service must be
restarted, click OK. To restart IIS, type the following command at a
command prompt: iisreset
Note: You need to apply SSL before enabling FBA.

Please let me know the above information so that I can provide the further
assistance on this issue. I am looking forward to your reply.
Have a nice day.
Best Regards,
Steven Zhu
