Hi All

Just in the need of a little help with a strange problem I have not
experience before.

I have a customer who I need to replace a faulty HDD for so at the same time
we decided to upgrade the RAM and upgrade there server from Windows 2000 to
Windows 2003 RU2.

Since the upgrade we have been having issues with there POS terminals and
Back Office PC's connecting to the server. They have a mix of W2K and XP
SP2 POS Terminals and PC's and it appears that only the XP SP2 POS terminals
and PC's are having the issue. Basically when the PC or POS terminal is
restarted it takes upto 5 minutes before we access any share on the server,
but pings are OK. We are unable to connect either via \\POSSERVER or
\\192.168.0.100 and intermittently during the day it will also loose the
ability to connect to a share on the server but if we leave it for a few
minutes it comes good again.

It also stop talking to the DNS server and any other application running on
the server, but connectivity to the server is OK (tested with ping)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Andrew
