Hi Jeff,

OK...Hmmm...didn't get very far...

Seems to open up the main hoempage in FrontPage...but says its write
protected..is under source control and has read only attributes ?

Anyway I made an announcement with the built in editor to see if I
could then find and edit that in FP....Hmmm..Puzzled...no luck so
far...

Jim.

Open the companyweb page that you want to edit in Internet Explorer and
then
look for an the FrontPage icon at the top of IE that will allow you to
"Edit
that page in FrontPage". It could also have a choice of other Office
applications to choose from too or even Notepad in a dropdown list. If
you
have FrontPage installed it should be in the list as well. Just remember
when doing the editing that you are editing the live page that is on the
server and not a copy. I've not had any issues doing this......just don't
get careless.

Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Yeah, we've got access to FrontPage..

Sounds like a plan..

What am I looking to open up/point FrontPage at ?

Jim.

If you have FrontPage you can easily add a table to the home page of

Hi All,

I'd like to add some kind of notice board to the homepage on
Companyweb.

Basically we have incoming deliveries of goods and we currently
chalk/write these up on a notice board for all to see what has just
been delivered.

I'd like to replace this with an electronic version which people
could
access simply by visiting the Companyweb homepage, then they would
not
need to come to look at the notice board in person.

What would be the best way of going about this ? a list ? an
announcement ?

It would basically be a heading with various columns, what it was,
where it came from, how many etc etc, which I, or someone else
tasked
to keep it up to date, could edit easily.

I've had a look at the editor for announcements...its not really
what I
had in mind..

Want to keep it real simple, don't really want people drilling down
several levels, it needs to be on the homepage really..

Any thoughts anyone ?

Jim.
