Liteweight needs confirmation: SBS config of Mulitple NIC

I inherited a setup that was not allowing the company to expand.
There was a Watchguard firebox with DHCP enabled that was maxed out, no
admin password, etc.. so we removed it - hopefully permanently..

The general network setup is:

T1 -- Cisco Router (IP 69.xx.xx.xx, 255.255.255.252) -- NIC2 SBS NIC1
-- Switch -- Multiple PCs...

Their SBS 2003 box has 2 NICS, one which was disabled.

What I have done:
1) Assigned 10.26.13.2 to the server NIC1. Subnet mask of
255.255.255.0 assigned.
Set up DHCP service on the server , range 10.26.13.1 - 100,
10.26.13.1-19 reserved for static devices.
- there was a loopback DNS server of 127.0.0.1 that I left as-is
- Set the server (10.26.13.2) as the gateway

2) Enabled NIC2, assigned 192.168.254.1 / 255.255.255.252 as IP, with
69.xx.xx.xx as its gateway.
--- At this point I received warning messages relating to the
difference in subnet mask values.

Attempted to ping the router, but got no reply. Called VoIP
provider, and they had an alarm on our line and they could not ping the
router from their end either. Tech should be available tomorrow to
look into issues.

3) Reconnected SBS server to the switch and cycled the workstations.

At this point we watched as Address licenses were handed out
(woohoo!!).

With regards to the SBS NICs, what I have read indicates that this is
the correct config to provide a crossover between two networks.

Is there anything I missed?

I recently came across documentation on the CEICW wizard. Should I
have run this instead of manually setting the different items?

Any pointers would be appreciated!
