Re: pop3connector problem on original header

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Please let me know whether you get your SBS 2003 server retrieving mail
from a global POP box then distributing to Exchange boxes. Technically
speaking, for a global mailbox, the POP3 connector downloads the mail from
the mailbox, and then blindly re-sends the mail to the Exchange Server
"without modifying any of the headers". The mail will then be routed
according to the Exchange Proxy Addressing. If there is no user recipient
or proxy address defined, the Exchange Server will send a NDR to the
original sender.

Note: When using Global mailboxes, users will need to have a defined e-mail
address that matches the primary address in the primary default policy;
otherwise they will not receive the e-mail. In most cases, the users will
already have this unless multiple recipient policies have been defined.

When using Global Mailbox, the header will be modified only when you use
the Routing Rules feature of the Connector. Once the headers are changed,
the connector delivers the mail to the Exchange Server through CDO directly
to the Exchange queue directory.

Please let me know if it addresses your concern, thanks!

Have a good day.

Best Regards,

Steven Zhu
