Event ID 474, but is still working???

Hi, I got a complaint from my users this morning where some of them are
getting e-mails and some are not. I looked in the event log, I got my
usual error 2102... Then I noticed something new, event id 474. I
looked at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;327334
If this is true, then why some of my users still get e-mails and some
don't.
Please advise.
