Yes, and that is the problem. This 'something' make small business owners believe that they get a 'certain' quality when working with a 'Small Business Specialist'.
I know a lot of talented IT people but the majority of what I have seen in the past years is a disaster. Most of the customers were previously served by so called 'Gold Partners' or whatever companies.
Susan, you would not believe what I sometimes see. Customers pay thousands of $ for a system that is completely hosed.
The best reference a small business owner can get is to ask around. Ask your fellow small business owner how they got their IT infrastucture fixed.
