As I stated earlier this is a brand new install. I didn't setup anything
manual except here is a thought...
I am using the 'Dell PowerEdge Installation and Server Management CD' to
configure and install my new server. In the initial dialogs prior to copying
files from the SBS cd's, the Dell cd prompts me to give the 2 nics IP's. I
was only setting the LAN nic ip, ie 10.10.1.1. The INET one I left as the
default, 'Use dhcp.' Although there is NO dhcp server ANYWHERE, could this
actually be causing my problem? Maybe I should try giving the INET nic an ip
also and since there is nothing plugged up to the nic that shouldn't open me
up to any problems, correct?
Try using the default 192.168.16.2 for the server IP.
For some reason, Microsoft really don't like re-subnetting the 10.x.x.x range, even though it's perfectly valid to do so.
