Thank you for your update and I am really sorry for the delay.

First, I appreciate to know that you have successfully reinstalled COM+.
However the problem still persists.

Based on my the research on the CLSID
{faf53cc4-bd73-4e36-83f1-2b23f46e513e} and the event ID [0x80040154], I
have some further information to let you know.

The CLSID points to a DLL es.dll at C:\windows\system32. Let's check
whether the file is physically there.

If the es.dll file is there, please try following steps in command line:

Cd windows\system32

Net stop vss
Net stop swprv

regsvr32 es.dll
regsvr32 msxml4.dll

Net start vss
Net start swprv

vssadmin list writers>c:\test.txt

After that, please try Ntbackup again. If the process still could not be
started, could you send the test.txt to me and attach the MPS report again?
