Defining printers and setting per client

We have 8 HP laser printers networked that have various input & output bins.
At the moment they are setup individually. EG Invoice printer pickup tray 4
output tray 2 etc.
Our in house data base looks for Invoice printer and sends the jobs.
Each user has a HP8550 as a defalt printer User1 output tray3 User2 output
tray4 etc etc.
Can the server have all the printers installed and allows certain user /
group to access certain printers.
The setting up is very tedious. Is there a way to script the above.
Cheers
