I would do the following test for 2 or 3 computers:
Set the ports which are used by those test computers from AUTO to 100 Full
and change the settings on the NIC cards of those computers to 100 Full as
well.
Monitor if the link still goes down.

A Dell PowerEdge 5324 (24port gigabit swtich) is plugged into the internal
NIC of the SBS box. This switch was recently installed as an upgrade, but I
am told this issue described below has been going on with the prior switch
also. Some computers were replaced just prior to me looking after the
network, but the NICs are Intel PRO/1000 PL and Intel PRO/100 VE.

From what you are saying there is no indication that this is SBS related.
Give us some more info on your network. Which switch are you using, what
NICs are used on the workstations?

Not sure if I should post this here or not, but since we are running SBS
03
Pro, I thought I ask. Out managed switch is logging link down / link up
status changes for praticaly all the ports, except for the port that the
SBS
box is on. The event logs for all affected computer are full of events
like
these two below. I have inherited this network, but I do not have this
issue
at all on two other networks that I have configured.
So as much I have searched for these error, I found no real solution
yet.
Any thoughts on when the ports may be switching satus every 4-6 seconds?
They come back within a second, so the users do not notice, but there is
one
app that is running on TS on a second server that just terminates the
connection once or twice a day. Im trying to figure out if this is
switch or
SBS related.
THanks,
Attila
