Re: Single NIC SBS 2003, Cannot Ping / Access UNC Server

Hi
Thanks for your post, all checked.
I have also discovered that it had enabled the Firewall and Internet
Connection service when enabling remote access. I have disabled RRAS,
disabled the Firewall Service and manually configured RRAS.
I now have Ping access (both IP and Netbios name), RDP access, Web Access
but receive Access Denied when i try \\IPAddress or \\ServerName
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks
B

Hi
Thanks for your post.
I have added the DNS address to the client but still no access to the
server. I cannot access the server via its IP Address either.
Thanks

You don't have your SBS DNS server (14.3) listed on your client. How is
the client supposed to find it?

Hi
We have a clean install of SBS 2003 Std Edition, Single NIC.
We have run the Internet Connection Wizard and now cannot access the
server from an UNC Path, Ping, Website etc although the machine can
access the internet.
RRAS says that there is no Basic Firewall Configured, there is no
padlock against the connection stating that it is protected and when
opening the NIC Firewall Option under Advanced it errors stating
that
it is being used by another app possibly Network Address
Translation.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
B
Post an ipconfig /all from the server, and from a client.
