The last time I saw this issue, I saw the advice was to Contact APC
support directly and they can send you a paper on manual removal of the
sotware.

When first prompted to remove PowerChute, I tried the add/remove program
utility in Control Panel but that wouldn't do it, it only allowed me to
remove the name in the list of programs. So far I have removed all visible
files and the APC directory. I even stopped the service and removed registry
entries pertaining to the APC and the Powerchute program. But still
Powerchute shows up in the list of services under "Services".
Anyone have any tips on removing items from the list of services?
