RE: Security Issue ?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi Jerry,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

From the description, I understand the issue to be: You see one computer
name plus $ and others are User name in User column when you click Sessions
from fsmgmt.msc. If I have misunderstood your concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know.

As I know, this is normal behavior. Sometimes it will display the computer
name plus $ and user name when user logon to SBS.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Crina Li (MSFT)

| I was just looking at the fsmgmt.msc utility on our SBS2003 server. When
| viewing the sessions folder I notice one session where the user was
| identified by the client pcâ??s machine name followed by a $, (â??machine
name$")
| while all other sessions where identified by the actual user name. Is
that a
| typical occurrence or should that be cause for concern?
