You really need to give your postings time to show up on the server and give folks a chance to reply.
I responded to your later posting

Hi,
I am planning to incorporate a new remote site and server in to our existing
2003 standard domain running exchange 2003.
The new server is a DC running SBS 2003. I am planning to transition the
server to 2003 standard due to topology and its remoteness, then incorporate
in to the existing domain.
Question. We do not intend to implement an exchange server at the remote
site for the moment and have been advised to remove exchange totally from the
remote dc AFTER the transition pack BEFORE bringing in to the domain. Can
anyone clarify this or advise. Dont want any issues with exchange
.
