Re: SBS 2003 Set Up Problem

Justin,
Thanks for responding. The answer is Yes:
1/ Domain Users
2/ Named Users with alternative permissions
3/ All NIC have File and Printer Sharing, Auto DNS and WINS etc

One interesting extra I have noticed on a client is that a single click on
"My Network Places" shows an icon and details of the Router Netgear DG834PN.

This may have some bearing as to why the computers are not communicating
properly.

Do the client machines have a firewall installed? If so are there
exceptions for file and print sharing? Is file and print sharing enabled
on the client network card? Do the shares give access to domain users?

YES The server was a complete rebuild - Formatting the RAID pair and a
Full
install of SBS 2003 (Dell Set) plus the OpenManage setup.
Essentially everything is fine except:
1/ Explorer on the Server can see the clients but cannot expand to see
shared folders.
2/ All Clients can see the server and other clients but cannot expand
the
contents to see shared folders.
the message received is:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
//*ClientName* is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions.

The network path was not found.

Does reinstall mean you formatted the hard drives on the server and
reinstalled or did you repair? You joined all the workstations to the
new domain after the reinstall? Every machine has been turned off, you
then rebooted the server and then started turning on workstaions?
