Company web folders are blank.
Make sure that the DNS of the server is pointing to itself.
When you say "companyweb never worked for me" and the install did not indicate that it had issues, that's typically a DNS issue.
How did you install SBS? Is this a SBS sp1 slipstream install?

DNS would not make my companyweb folder not exist though would it? And reinstalling sharepoint doesn't bring back the frontpage extensions does it? (I have tried that twice and decided something different needed done before I run that path again).
I'll have to use logmein to see the settings on a workstation and the server, but i'll make sure they line up.
Thanx, and SBS does rock. :)

What's the ipconfig /all on the server and the workstation?
Ike wrote:Well, first a short side note: this all started due to fax services shutting down...after a full week of research, I learned it was related to a bad JAVA VM issue ....no apparent fix seemed to be found, so since this SBS server is only a month old, I went ahead and reformatted it (I kinda wanted to anyway for experience as i've read several times that ppl suggest 3 full reinstalls of SBS to get it down...i fully agree as this is now my 3rd time rebuilding it and it's better every time)....
To my question...
Company web would not ever work for me, so i followed article 829114 on the KB and reinstalled it...still no joy....i do not know why, but I'm pretty sure the frontpage extensions are not in there at all (i may have removed default and port 1 for all I know), i have no "default" page listed, only company web and sharpoint in IIS....and of course it doesn't work...I have NO company web folder in the inetpub folder either.
I don't mind rebuilding IIS again if i have to, but...i've done it twice now and you all know the old saying "The definition of insanity is doing the axact same thing over and over but expecting different results."
Where do i find out if the frontpage extensions are properly installed? can i simply uninstall and reinstall them in add/remove windows components without having to worry about causing a domino effect system crash? lol...god i dont want that again...JAVA already owes me lunch twice. :)
Ike.
The only other note to add is that "backup" and "monitoring" give me error 400 when i try to view the snap in. I am pretty sure that's related to this issue based on what i've read so i'm not too worried about THAT part ....just info.
