Lanwench,

It seemed you misundertood, or is it me that haven't mentioned it before?
This POS.exe application is located at that local workstation computer in
C:\Program Files\Clover POS\ directory. Not in SBS' server directory.

Lanwench,

Yes, if domain or local users log-in and double click the application
(POS.exe), it'll works just fine. The error will only appears if I
use the GPO (as I've mentioned).

In the GPO that linked to users that access that wokrstation
computer, I wrote in the User Settings>Administrative>System>Logon
like this: "C:\Program Files\Clover POS\POS.exe" (without the " of
course).
You mentioned that I should use "%programfiles%\clover pos\pos.exe",
do I have to use % instead of C:\ like I did?

Yes; did you try it? Note that you need the double quotes, any time there's
a space in the path, whether in a GPO or otherwise ....

Thanks!

Hi,
I have an application in workstations located in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Clover POS\POS.exe
The POS.exe access a Library.DLL and a Setting.cfg files in order
for it to run properly. Using the local accounts (User & Power
User), that application run without any problems at all.

You mention local accounts - but does it work if one of the
*domain* user logs in and double-clicks to launch it?

It is when I tried to use a GPO (linked to users that access those
workstations),

an error message appears telling me that the POS.exe
can't access the Setting.cfg file. This happens if I put the POS.exe
in the
User Settings>Administrative>System>Logon, so that everytime those
users
log-in the POS.exe will run automatically.

How did you specify the path? You should use "%programfiles%\clover
pos\pos.exe"

If you don't put the full path in properly, it will assume the file
is in %systemroot%

It seemed that the GPO only allowed to run the POS.exe in GPO (Win
SBS 2003) environment, not in the C:\Program Files\Clover
POS\POS.exe; so the POS.exe seemed can't find the Setting.cfg file
at that very same folder.
Does someone have similar problem and know how to solve it?
Thank you very much for your help.
