Sorry to *** in here, but this sounds like the scenario we have on
our servers....
Regarding your POP3 mailboxes at your ISP: Do you wish to keep them at
the ISP? If so, have you used the POP3 Connector to setup collection
of mail to your users? If the answer to both of these is yes then I'll
go and look at our SMTP server settings to refresh my brain!
If the answer to the first question is No, then I'll *** out again
and leave it to those who are more expert than I.

I don't think dyndns.org is the problem. I can ping the domain without a
problem. I think it's something within Exchange.
Thanks

I would contact dyndns.org, but it was my understanding that if you use
Dyndns you don't use the pop connector...it allows you to use SMTP

That's where I have the problem.
I have a dynamic IP address which I have registered with the free dymamic
IP
services from dyndns. My pop server at the ISP holds the domain
(mail.mydomain.com). I use a utility to update the dynamic IP at dyndns.
Somewhere in the process of running the CEICW, I mess up. I'm not sure
how
to setup this combo, to allow me to retrieve mails from the ISP and go to
Exchange.
Is there a place where I can read detailed instructions?
Thanks again for taking the time

Any chance of getting a static IP?? would make life so much easier...
Have you considered signing up with DynDNS.org or TZO.org?
I believe what I would do is, re-run the CEICW wizard. and "turn off" the
POP3 connector and just tell it you are using SMTP.
go all the way through the wizard.
Then run again and re-setup all the POP3 connector information.
