I'm using regular WSUS and have not yet upgraded to the R2 version. I've
got two GPOs. For servers, I have "auto download and notify," and for
client PCs, "auto download and schedule."
I agree that I want to control when servers update. In particular, I don't
want a server to reboot itself outside my control. I also don't want it in
a possibly unstable state with a patch installed but waiting for me to
restart it.
I'm not sure if "notify" switches you to the blue check. If you try it,
please post back with the answer.

Hello...
I have WSUS installed and setup with the default options (no blue check).
However, the server has updates ready to install. I would prefer to have
control over the installs. The group policy is set to 4 - Autio download
and
schedule install. I thought the setting should be set to 3 "Download and
Notify". Do I have an incorrect setting?
