| I have a Ml110 G3 with embedded Sata Raid Controller
| I was running 2 SATA disk mirrored untill one failed which I replaced
| Now in the config page for the mirrored array , it comes up as "missing
| member"
| I don't want to recreate the mirror, until i know it will mirror the
| drive with data on , rather than the blank new disk.(you see my dilemma
| ?, ie mirror the empty disk)
|
| The replaced drive is on Port 00, the drive that has data is Port 01
|
| Is the solution to delete the old mirror raid config, create a new one
| adding the drive with data on it (port 01) and then add the replaced
| drive (Port 00) .Perhaps it will mirror the drive on Port 00 ?
| I can easily swap the SATA cables if this is the case
|
| There is very little information on how this process works
|
| Perhaps I need to run the full format of the new disk, from within the
| array config pages
| but this takes ages.
|
| Cheers
|
