Remote Connection Manager Through Router
Hi,
SBS2003 SP1 without ISA firewall, single NIC setup. Server behind DLink
DI-704P router.
Having trouble connecting using the Remote Connection Manager, tries to
connect, hangs on "Verifiying password".
Only want to allow clients to connect using Connection Manager, not RWW.
Have forwarded port 1723 TCP to SBS, but not sure if router supports GRE
protocol. Does this sound like data isn't able to transmit using this
protocol?
DLink router has option to "Allow PPTP VPN Pass Through", have set this to
enabled. Is this setting more for letting clients behind this model of
router connect to a VPN?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
EightBall.
