Thanks in no small part to your help - e-mails are flowing again -
yippee
Glad to hear it!
Wish I coud tell you exactly what rectified the situation, but
following on from your sugestions, reading matter etc and a restart,
something stopped the blockage, so to speak.
Gremlins are fickle creatures.
I've learnt a lot and realise how much more I need to know as we do
not want a repeat of this week !!!!!!! Will take your advice on board
and try and get the system checked and get some help finding my way
around better.
Excellent - especially as regards backups and security.
BTW I did mean a second drive fitted internally - I was struggling to
make the point that they would keep what they had with maybe an
addition.
OK - although the server hardware doesn't sound ideal to me.
On the subject of free space - is it safe to delete the older SBS
windows upgrade uninstall files - there seems to be rather a lot of
them.
Do a good full backup first - then I think you can either remove them or
move them to your additional hard drive.
Once again many thanks for your help - it really was appreciated.
Will no doubt need your help in the future as things here need to
change somewhat.
I can see that - good luck, and do post back when you need more help.
