Thanks to Vlad & Susan, I'm beginning to understand the reason for the
change - Action Pack pirates - and glad to see MS tightening up on
inappropriate users. It does seem however that they should control it
by who they allow into the program in the first place.
The one place I need additional licesnes is for setting up virtual test
environments. I'm just a one man shop and support many small businesses
on various configurations. It's handy for me to do that in Virtual PC
and test new software I'm evaluting for them without screwing with my
workstation's configuration. Or to have a Virtual PC environment set up
for a specific client so that when they call with a problem I can
replicate it virtually, saving me an office visit. With upgrade only
licenses, it seems that I'll be limited in setting up these virtual
environments.
