You're getting tied up in terms. 'Not supported' does not mean it doesn't
work or cannot be done.
NOTE: I'm not advising anyone to do it either, just disagreeing with the
original statement 'FYI if you're running ISA on that SBS PE install then
you can't install in a virtual environment.'
I've run interrogation tools against ISA deployed in a virtual environment,
got exactly the results I expected. This is however irrelevent, the OP
suggests he has run up SBS in VPC, seperate to his production environment,
there is a reasonable expectation to assume this is for test or learning
purposes, if he runs ISA on the production box he should also have it
installed in his 'lab'. It _may_ not be fully functional as a firewall but
it will be as close as possible to the production environment.

OK it can be installed but since its unsupported putting into a production
environment is not recommended. In a test environment go for it.
From
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/isa/2004/plan/unsupportedconfigs.mspx
"ISA Server Not Supported for Virtual PC and Virtual Server
Problem: ISA Server does not operate as expected in a Microsoft Virtual PC
2004 or Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 environment.
Cause: ISA Server is not currently supported in a Virtual PC 2004 or
Virtual Server 2005 environment.
Solution: There is no workaround at this time."
Also at SMB Nation Susan Bradley confirmed that you shouldn't expect SBS
2003 with ISA 2004 to work with Virtual PC or Server. Susan if you read
this perhaps you can elaborate.

ISA works in VMware (Workstation or Server) and Virtual Server, haven't
tried VPC but TTBOMK nothing would stop you from installing and it would
operate.
ISA as a firewall is 'not supported' in virtual environments due the
virtualisation of the network layer, doesn't mean it doesn't operate just
that security cannot be ensured as both ISA and the virtualisation system
operate below the standard network level.

FYI if you're running ISA on that SBS PE install then you can't install
in a virtual environment. SBS SE and PE without ISA are OK.

I have setup SBS 2003 Premium in VPC environment, and I would like to
keep its domain separate from my production SBS 2003 Pro environment. I
have installed the loopback adapter on the Virtual SBS machine, but not
sure what the configuration should be so that the real and the virtual
machine's DHCP service don't conflict.
