Migrating questions

I have purchased a new Dell server with SBS 2003 Premium to replace our
aging sbs2000 server. I want to migrate to the new hardware and OS. I would
like to change my internal domain name and also the server name. The
information I need from the old server would be the some files that we
share, exchange mailboxes and an SQL database. My rough game plan was to
setup the new server on a different network with the domain and server name
I want to use and then use exmerge to pull out the email boxes and exmerge
them into the new server. As for SQL I was planning on backing up all the
databases and then restoring them to the new machine.
Is this plan going to work? what problems will I face with restoring the sql
databases from an SBS2000 server to sbs2003? I have never done this before
and much of what I have read gives me cause for concern. Any guidance would
be greatly appreciated.
TIA
