Well this seems to be an issue with the Help Desk program and not the server or desktop OS

OK, I don't ever remember seeing this on a SBS newsgroup, so here goes:
I just installed a help desk program (ManageEngine, Service Desk Plus).
Just did the client scan this morning and a number of the clients are showing two NIC cards with one of them showing three!
The clients only have one NIC in them, a 3COM card. The other one being "seen" is a SMC EZ card, and in the one showing 3 NICs, is listing the SMC EZ card and an Intel 21143 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.
Like I said, all of these clients have a 3COM, 3C905C-TX which is being seen in additon to the "rouge" NICs and is the actual card in them.
We have physically looked at the pc's and verified that there is only one card, looked in network properties and device manager. All say only one card.
This network also has a number of pc of the same model as these that are only showing the proper NIC (the 3COM) and on others there are other models that are only showing a single NIC as they should.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
