Reasons mail might not be routed.



Hi there,

I work on a Help Desk and have to troubleshoot some Exchange stuff from
time-to-time. I can do some stuff, but other things I usually escalate.

I've already escalated this issue, so I'm in no time-crunch to solve it.

I'd like to know some reasons why an SBS03 Exchange user -- using OL2003 --
might not be able to receive mail from external domains. He can receive
mail from people on the same domain, but nothing outside. The mail doesn't
bounce back to anyone, it just disappears.

Why would that happen?

And where would on go to troubleshoot something like that? Event viewer?
