Nick
when you say you would like to "host my already registered domain name" on your server, are you talking website or just email/owa/and remote connectivity?
You should leave your publically accessible website right wherever it is right now.
Then because you have a dynamically assigned public IP address coming to your SBS Server, you will need to register with dyndns.org or tzo.org to get this working.
You mention that you already have a LAN. What are you running on the LAN now?
Finally, if your broadband connection is residential class service as opposed to Business Class (which usually gets you static ips), you should be sure to check with your Broadband provider to make sure they will all you to do what you are talking about?

Hi,
I'm planning to run SBS 2003 and I would like the server to host my
already registered domain name. I also have a broadband connection
through another provider, with a DHCP IP address.
My hope is to have SBS host my exchange server with about 10 users, but
I would also like to use OWA to be able to read my emails when I'm away
from home. I have a 3Com OfficeConnect firewall box with a DMZ
connector aswell as a normal LAN one.
My question is would it best to host the server on my LAN or my DMZ?
I'll also need to get the DNS changed, but thats OK.
Aswell as this, I'd also like to be able to VPN in to my server if I
need to. The firewall allows this.
I'm in the UK, if that makes any difference!
Thanks,
Nick
