I tried this externally using their username and adminitrator. inside thye
both work with no problem.

Hi Bob,

U didnt mention from where were u trying to access companyweb as
administrator...did u try that internally or externally ??? Is the
companyweb listening on internal IP or external IP . Make sure that it
is listening on All Unassigned .. I am sure that it is the issue ..
