Ooops, that should be "port" 47, not "protocol" 47.
Protocol 47 is GRE, and if the linksys handled it correctly, you wouldn't
need the "port" kludge.

I have now upgraded (finally!) to COMCAST High Speed Internet. I added a
Linksys
BEFSX41 router, so now my setup is as follows:
This "router" is infamous for not handling "GRE" correctly. Try adding
protocol 47 (both tcp/udp) forwarding to the SBS server. This (kludge) has
worked on _some_ firmware versions of this Linksys, but not on most.
If that doesn't work, try a recent Linksys Product like the wrt54g one.

Hi all!
My previous setup was a small LAN with SBS2K3 and two PCs, one of which
was
connected to the Internet through dialup. I used the Network Connections
Wizard to
define a VPN to the Office, giving it the public IP and other requested
data. This was
working fine.
I have now upgraded (finally!) to COMCAST High Speed Internet. I added a
Linksys
BEFSX41 router, so now my setup is as follows:
Cable modem --> router --> LAN
In the "LAN", I have one PC and a small 5-port Ethernet 10/100 switch
connected
directly to the router. The SBS2003 and another PC are connected to the
switch. I
cannot change this configuration. On the SBS2003 I configured the default
gateway
to be the router and forwarded (if that is the correct term) the DNS IPs.
All PCs are
connecting to the Internet correctly, but my VPN is no longer working.
What do I need to do to connect to the Office as I was before? Do I need
to tweak
anything on the SB2003, or is this a router "thing"?
Thank you for your time and assistance :-)
