RE: OWA

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi ArcAngle,

Thanks for your update.

From your description, I understand that you got http 500 internal server
error when you access OWA now.

As I know, this problem could be caused by the Application pool on the SBS
2003 server. If the application pool is missing or with some incorrect
configurations, you will get the HTTP 500 internal error when you access
the OWA site. In order to narrow down the problem, please help to gather
the following information:

1. On the SBS 2003 server, open ''Internet Information Services (IIS)
Manager'' in ''Administrative Tools''. Expand <Server Name>\''Application
Pools''. Can you see ''ExchangeApplicationPool'' in the tree view?
2. If you can see the ExchangeApplicationPool, please go to check the
Application Pool settings in the default web site. I would like to suggest
you refer to the following KB article for the detailed steps:

829167 "HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error" Error Message When You Use
Outlook Web Access to Connect to Your Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Mailbox

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Crina Li (MSFT)
