Cannot reinstall SBS 2003 after SP1

Hi All!

I started getting a message that at least one service didn't start
properly on boot up... The suggestion was to go to the log and to
examine it. The log doent's start crying that I have to reinstall
tools. Reinstalling tools is suggested by reloading SBS2003 component.
However, when I try to do that I am told that I am attempting to
upgrade using an older version and if I wish to continue I must
reinstall the old version as new. I am not about to FORMAT C: but there
is nothing I can find to get around this stupid message. I can't reload
and I have errors that want a reload. I found that it may be SP1
causing this problem but I cannot uninstall that, as there is not
REMOVE button for it, it seems that it is a one way trip.

Is there any way?
