I have a client who had a corrupt service pack for 2000 on his client PC.
We
uninstalled and then updated him to the current SP and now his excel opens
without the dreaded missing Data1.exe, please insert SR1 CD error.

This worked for about a day, now when he opens Excel from the shortcut,
weither it be the desktop shortcut, start menu shortcut, or directly from
excel.exe in office directory, it opens most, if not all of his workbooks.
They are listed in multiple tabs across the bottom of his excel window. He
can close them all manually and start a new document but this is a hassle
needless to say.

I can't imagine how they'd all have got linked, but I suppose it's a
possibility. Even if that's the case I'm not sure how to unlink them.

Does any one have any thoughts? I can't find anything useful on google.

Thanks in advance!!
