First off did you install printer driver updates or 'just' security patches?
Can you give copies of the event errors here?
The security updates that came out wouldn't be turning off a printer.
What exact patches did you install?
Did you install SP 2 or other service patches?

Hi,.
Two weeks ago we manually updated about 26 XP workstations and a SBS03 server box with the latest security updates from Windows Update site.
Since then our client is having all sorts of problems with various printers playing up. The problems range from can't open printer properties without it crashing with a Spool error, to the font size in some programs printing very small, yet in MS word it is fine.
Another user is now reporting this problem:
"It doesn't print out the complete print job, eg. if an 18 page print job is sent, it will print out 3 pages then maybe 1-1.5 hrs later will print out another page etc. Also turns itself off."
It is a bit of a nightmare for us to fix.
Is there an easy way for us to revert back any printer drivers that got changed, or a better way to manage this? I'm worried that maybe something has been changed in the printing engine dlls..
Thanks
Tristan
