Try the support links on the BES site, there are some PDFs there somewhere.
See if you can find Installation_Guide 4.1 Express.pdf. I don't know where
it is on the site, as someone emailed it to me. If you can't find it and
want a copy, email me.

Thanks Les. I can't seem to find anything about supported configurations,
requirments, etc.
(same old rim)
Does anyone know if Exchange 2003 is required and at what SP level?

I don't see where the reliability is better than, say WM5/Exchange. I'm
having no issues with WM5 and direct push (other than battery life ;-)).
But the buttons/wheels, the OS, and such on the BB devcies do allow very
efficient use of the device. WM isn't nearly as efficient, but then
again, there's a lot more to a WM OS than there is to a BB OS.
I'd recommend WM5 devices over BB devices, in an SBS environment. The
only reason I'm dabbling in BB is because in this case, existing
device/service contracts make switching cost-prohibitive.

I'm not sure if the Express version is actually technically different
from the Enterprise version. It could just be a licensing thing, and
hey we know how *that* works.
Do I detect a note of sarcasm, Mr. Connor? <peers over half-moon specs,
raises eyebrow>
The Express version is free, so long as you own 1 blackberry device,
and it includes a single CAL for that device. You can buy up to 15
device licenses for this version, after that you have to go to the
Enterprise version.
Oh, that sounds nice. Got a link? I'm lazy. :)
I don't really want to do this, but I've got a new SBS installation and
the customer has 1/2 dozen BB's with multi-year contracts. Going to WM
at this point would cost him a ton.
....and frankly, if they're used to the reliability of Blackberry
handhelds/mail, I'm not sure I'd want to switch them over, not yet.
VS might be a decent option, if installing directly on the SBS is
risky. I don't know why I never thought of that - thanks!

Hi Folks,
Has anyone attempted an installation of Blackberry Server Express on
the SBS server itself ?

I don't even know what Blackberry Server Express is!
I've seen BES 4x running in a VS on the SBS box - and have seen BES 4x
running directly on an SBS box - both fine. Not sure Blackberry
officially supports it, but, well, one works with what one has. ;-)
