Re: Blackberry Server Express

I'm not sure if the Express version is actually technically different from
the Enterprise version. It could just be a licensing thing, and hey we know
how *that* works.

The Express version is free, so long as you own 1 blackberry device, and it
includes a single CAL for that device. You can buy up to 15 device licenses
for this version, after that you have to go to the Enterprise version.

I don't really want to do this, but I've got a new SBS installation and the
customer has 1/2 dozen BB's with multi-year contracts. Going to WM at this
point would cost him a ton.

VS might be a decent option, if installing directly on the SBS is risky. I
don't know why I never thought of that - thanks!

Hi Folks,

Has anyone attempted an installation of Blackberry Server Express on the
SBS server itself ?

I don't even know what Blackberry Server Express is!

I've seen BES 4x running in a VS on the SBS box - and have seen BES 4x
running directly on an SBS box - both fine. Not sure Blackberry officially
supports it, but, well, one works with what one has. ;-)
