Well you might not like my answer, but basically you are in a config that is going to give you nothing but headaches.
That wireless router is not going to give addresses properly to wireless clients unless
1) DHCP is turned on on the router
OR
2) Wireless clients assign static IPs to their wireless cards
if DHCP is turned on on the router you have to turn it off for SBS, that in turn can create other issues.
What you really need is a wireless Access Point, not a router, and a single switch for all wired workstations
Here's what I would do.
1. Get a switch that will accomodate all wired workstations and the server
2. Use the Change Server IP wizard on the SBS server to change the IP to 192.168.16.2 and let all wired workstations get their address from the SBS server in this range
3. Add a second nic in the server....assign it the IP address you originally had on the single nic with a gateway of the router
4. Re-run the CEICW wizard on the SBS server
5. Let wireless clients get their address from the router and they can VPN into the SBS server

Hi people,
You were my saviour last time and Im hoping you can do the same for me now.
I have a DELL PE1800 with SBS 2003 connected to a cheapo 4 port switch.
This switch also has the wireless router connect to it (due to location).
The switch is uplinked to another switch that has the cabled machines and
printer connected.
(Dont know if the uplink is causing a problem here)
Anyway...
Anyone that connects wirelessly is getting assigned an IP address of
192.168.255.249. I will explain...
The server is on 192.168.25.60 and subnet 255.255.255.0 and its gateway is
set to the router (the wireless one) which all works fine. The router is on
192.168.25.249 and the same subnet and thats fine.
The cabled PC's have their IP set manually and have the server address of
192.168.25.60 for their DNS, gateway and WINS and they work fine.
The problem is the wireless users. DHCP is what I want use for them and the
SBS server is set to assign DHCP addresses but for some reason they get an IP
address of 192.168.255.249 which is out of range. DHCP is switched off on
the router so the only DHCP server on the network is the SBS server. Why
dont my wireless users get an IP from the server?
The other thing to note is that they sometimes do connect ok (although very
rarely) and get a valid IP but when they do they have the wrong gateway and
DNS server addresses - they get the router IP's as their gateway and DNS.
This doesnt help when trying to get them connected to the SBS domain and
logon to it.
If anyone has any ideas then please let me know.
Many thanks
Ben
