Re: Exch2K3 OWA & RWW "Loading..." issue

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi,

Thanks for your update.

From this thread, I understand you just can not access OWA and RWW from
specific location. Can you access OWA or RWW from other remote site?

Currently, you can perform the following steps to narrow down this issue:

If you using dial-up access OWA from this problematic remote site, does
this issue still occur?

If you access OWA and RWW from home, what is the result?

I suggest you perform a clean boot on the problematic client to test this
issue.

A. Click Start, click Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks)
and click OK.
B. Select "Selective Startup" and remove the check box for "Load Startup
Items".
C. On the "Services" tab, click Enable All.
D. Check "Hide all Microsoft Services", click Disable All and clear "Hide
all Microsoft Services".
E. Click the OK button and then Click Yes to restart your computer.
F. Try again.

In the particular remote site, do you have ISA Server in your structure?
Possibly this is a network related issue. Please double check the internet
access restriction in ISA or hardware firewall.

If you would, please let me know the topology of this remote site.

If you have ISA in front of Server, please take the following steps to
clear the ISA cache.

A. Stop the Web Proxy service.
B. Locate the Urlcache folder.
C. From the multiple files in this folder, locate the *.cdat file in this
folder.
D. Delete the *.cdat file.
E. Start the Web Proxy service.

Hope this helps, I look forward to your update.

Have a nice day!

| RE: KB 280823, I don't think so. The working client has an empty
| trusted zone, whereas the non-working clients we tried both ways (with
| *.company.com in the trusted zone and without).
|
| On the server, I checked IIS management, the directory security -> IP
| Address and DNS restrictions shows "Grant access".
|
| I don't know that I want to enforce an IE security zone/content config
| taken from the domain controller. The DC can't use OWA Premium either!!
|
|
| One thing I have discovered on these workstations is that there are
| some other websites that do not display properly in IE6 SP1. I will try
| creating a new domain user and leaving them outside of the GPO-linked
| container. I'll let you know whether that worked or not.
