Hello there,

Actually after waiting a bit longer :) the secondary DNS started to load
properly. It daunted on me that the "computer browser" service I have
start
up on SBS server needed a bit of time to gather all the computers on the
network. Sorry for the inconvenient.

However another problem I am finding is that after disabling the "computer
browser" service on the SBS, I am get a number of minor issues which crop
up
every once in awhile like for example when I am trying to submit a new
backup job on our backup server. If the Computer Browser is disabled, the
backup server cannot see any of the computers on the network and therefore
will not let me select the computer to backup data. In that instance, I
just manual start up the Computer Browser and the backup server will work
fine. I forgot how to enable this service permanently now, so if anyone
knows how to please advise.

I have try going into the "rsop.sc and gpedit.msc" but still can not find
the setting where I have disable the "computer browser" permanently.

Thanks,

Helen

Did you complete the article where it says;

Troubleshoot
. The Zone Is Not Loaded by the DNS Server
When you select a zone on the secondary name server, you may
recieve
the following error message in the right pane of the DNS window:
Zone not loaded by DNS Server

The DNS server encountered an error while attempting to load the
zone.
The transfer of zone data from the master server failed.

Hello all:

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I was trying to configure a
secondary
DNS server on the Small Business Server network by following this link
to
the "t":

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816518/en-us

But I keep getting this error:

Zone not loaded by DNS server
The DNS server encountered an error while attempting to load the zone.
The
transfer of zone data from the master server failed. Please correct
the
problem then either press F5, or on the Action menu, click Refresh.
For
more info about troubleshooting DNS zone problems, see online help.

Any help is appreciate!

Helen

PS. I was advised to disable the "computer browser" on SBS by another
technical on this forum but dispite reverse this order did not resolve
the
problem I am getting.
