Re: Very slow logon Time Need help please

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I have experienced slow log on, on some of our office pc's. I looked at the
ipconfig, the only difference is that the ones that are experiencing slow
logon say that under Windows IP configurations the node type is Hybrid, while
on the pc that have a noticibally faster log on the node type is unknown.

What does this mean, do I need to change it, if so how do I make the change?

Thanks,

Clare

you should change the Servers DNS setting to also point to itself

Then re-run the CEICW wizard and put in the ISP's DNS server addresses when ask

yes, that´s correct. 192.168.1.1 is the D-link.

so it should be enough to change the clients dns ? Will it solve my problem
with "My documents" saves on the clients not the server ?

The servers ipconfig /all looks like this.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ipconfig /all
