Jimmy - please try this first. On the SBS, go to the Server Mgmt Console
and click Internet and E-Mail. Run the Configure Remote Access to enable
the VPN. Make a note of the server's public IP.
On the XP box at home, go to Control Panel -> Network Connections. On the
left side of the window, run the wizard "Create a New Connection," using the
IP address you noted above.
You should be able to dbl-click the connection you created in the second
step above and get a login prompt on your SBS network. This will not
require a separate IP or any hardware, and will allow multiple simultaneous
connections. Make sure you have a good strong, long password. At this
point, it will be like your home PC is actually connected to the network, so
you'll be able to do just about anything you can do when connected locally.
One thing I recommend is to create a separate user profile on the remote
computer, with a username and password matching those of the SBS domain.
Then I only use that profile when connecting to the office - not when
browsing, online banking, etc. This minimizes the number of times I'm
prompted for a password, and hopefully isolates the office a little from
anything that might be going on with the client PC.

The reason I need to use the VPN ternnels between two locations. I need

I have T1 at office and DSL at home.
Office has one static IP for SBS2003 Server (2 LAN cards)
I wonder if I put a hardware VPN router and assign a Static IP
address at
office and add this WAN IP address on SBS2003 server for routing,
and put
another hardware VPN router at home with DHCP from ISP.
Is that going to work? I am not sure? Please advise!
