No, there is not a single Microsoft document that explains the steps. There
are dozens that explain the various pieces that are part of it. And if you
call Microsoft direct, you will NOT end up with a swing migration, but a
conventional migration, and I personally and professionally think their
migration strategy stinks. And I said so in my SBS R2 book. (And yes, I can
and DO say what I think even though it's from Microsoft Press!)
Also, let's be clear - you're buying the documentation, the expertise, and
the support from Jeff. At a bargain price! If I were Jeff, I'd probably be
charging twice that, at least.

Yes, but it's $200 to get the info .... for $45 more, I can get a direct
call to microsoft. Trying to not incure cost for my client. There must be
a microsoft doc that explains these steps?

All the documentation is on the www.sbsmigration.com site. Jeff's
documentation is very comprehensive, AND you have him supporting you all
the way.

Do you have any articles/how to guides on this process? I have an SBS
2003 running Exchange and I would like to setup a temp server, copy the
AD to it, bring down the original, bring up the new server with the
SAME NAME as the old server.
If there are any other ways of doing this, I would like to know.
Any help is appreciated.
