I thought that was only for SA customers.

If you can purchase exactly the exact same hardware...name it exactly the
same, the SBS EULA allows for a COLD standby server.

Hi,
My company has an SBS 2003 server-based network. The server is a Dell
PowerEdge 800 machine with a raid array. The raid array is 3 identical
disks
doing the RAID, and a fourth identical disk as a hot spare. We also have
backups both on and off site. Cool!
Now we recently had a scare where we actually had to use all this great
stuff and it worked really well. That's great. But it got me to thinking
about what would happen if the server itself died. For sure, we'd get Mr.
Dell out to fix it, but that can sometimes take longer than advertised.
So
I'm thinking about how we can have a completely redundant server, just
sitting (presumably in a different location) ready to have one of the
RAID
disks inserted into it, or to have the backups restored to it.
I'd welcome any advice on how to set up such a fall-back system.
Thanks,
- Mark
