I am seeing this exact problem with Symantec Business 10.1, which 'breaks'
drive mappings for client/server app (on a Win2kServer).
As soon as I shut down SB, and I can replicate this every time, the drive
mapping problems stop and and the client/server app functions again.
Symantec has NOT come up with a solution (yet).

I have a server running SBS2003 with Symantec Groupware version 10
installed.
I want to be able to use remote desktop from home to maintain the server
but
I cannot get it to work. I believe I have enabled remote desktop in all
the
right places and added the appropriate port as an exclusion in the router
firewall but I cannot even get it to respond if I try it from within the
network, or even on the server itself. Anybody any ideas?
Personally I suspect Symantec. Officially the groupware does not include
the
Symantec client firewall but one of their support staff told me that there
is
some basic elements of the firewall active although its not documented. I
also found reports of exactly same problem caused by symantec client
firewall.
Symantecs final word on it however was "uninstall it and see if you can
use
remote desktop then call us back".
Whilst I appreciate their stance, I really do not want to bring down the
anti
virus protection on the network if I can avoid it.
Has anyone out there had and resolved this problem? Any help appreciated.
