I was told by Dell's technical support that I can still "login" to the SBS using VPN through our internal network on machines that do not have XP Pro. installed. For future reference, you can set up a VPN from a LAN machine to SBS
Is this true, and if so, what do I need to do?
using the same procedure as you would from outside. It's sometimes
useful, as several things which can prevent a VPN from working are
tested this way. If you can do it locally, but not from outside, you
know you have firewall or routing issues, not permissions or SBS
setup ones.
But get the XP Pro. You'll want to use and adjust file permissions,
among other things, and that's a real pain on Home.
