What you are attempting to do is what we commonly call "sneakernet"
Its not designed to do what what you want, or doesn't work the way you want so you sneak around it some how.

I doubt you'll get any of us to agree that this is the way to go. Seriously,
you should upgrade your existing XP home to XP Pro. It is technically
possible to have limited functionality of a XP Home computer on an SBS
network, but it will be an ongoing problem. It can't join the domain, it
won't get group policies, etc. And your users will have a bad experience
all-round. XP Home is designed for home use. Period. It has no business on
a business network.
